The five day course had a treat on the last day when Martin Kaujiter did a demo in the cookery school on his unique style of cooking.  The only thing more impressive than Martin’s cooking that morning was the fact that Paul smiled that day for the first time in weeks! and… I got it on camera!!!

Our offer with the Cliff House Hotel is going really well.  Stay one night with us and one night with the Cliff House, dinner on both evenings ,€495 inclusive (for two sharing).  We are calling it the WWW (West Waterford Weekend) and it gives you a chance to enjoy two very different styles of cooking.  Martin Kajuiter brings a breath of fresh air to modern Irish cooking with his innovative dishes and cooking in the Cliff House and Paul’s more earthy style is the polar opposite.  Together they offer the best of Irish cooking and since the Irish Times and Sunday Business Post picked up on it a few weeks ago, the phone doesnt stop ringing which is music to my ears, that and champagne corks popping in the restaurant are my two favourite sounds!

Recent Courses in the Cookery School

So much has been happening here in the last few weeks that its hard to keep up.  Things are actually quite busy which is fantastic.  This time last year I was on the edge of a nervous breakdown wondering had we made the right move opening the cookery school, were we crazy to take on such an undertaking when the world (well Ireland anyway) seemed to be falling asunder.  Well, I am happy to report that the year went well and courses continue to book!  A few photos here of the five day course in October which was most enjoyable…
